Sandiacre Town Cricket Club currently supports a highly successful junior coaching program, operating hardball teams at Under 11, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17s. We also run soft ball Kwik Cricket for those aged 8 and under.

The English Cricket Board describe the early stage of a child’s development in cricket as the ‘Ignition Stage’ – to ignite a life-long love of the game. We ensure that children are provided with:

• Fun
• General movement and simple cricket skills
• Game based learning opportunities
• Simple tactical elements
• A wide range of sporting and movements experiences

At Sandiacre coaching begins for children aged 4 and upwards. They practice fun basic hand eye and co-ordination skills. As they develop the children move into the Kwik cricket squad whereby they begin to develop bowling and batting skills and start to learn about playing matches. We participate in the local Kwik cricket tournaments fielding 1 or 2 teams each year.
