Club History
Sandiacre Town CC has been in existence for at least 132 years and has played on its present ground since 1890. The club was lucky to get a new pavillion with grant aid from the National Lottery and have it opened by Ian Botham in 2003.
This was topped by our magnificent win in 2003 at Lords, the home of cricket, when we defeated Bath CC to become the ECB National Cup Winners.
The club is not only about the 1st XI; we have three other adult sides playing in the Derbyshire County League, as well as five successful junior sides. The club has a total of 180 playing members who all contribute to the running of a thriving organisation.
Another large part of the club’s success are the backroom staff who make sure that the pitches are in first class order and the pavilion is always ready to host the many meetings, conferences, wedding receptions and anniversary celebrations that go on during the year.
We welcome new members, both playing and social, to our club. If you are interested in joining, please call in at the pavilion or phone Jean Jordison on 01332 872856.
